Based in Bangalow, just minutes from Byron Bay, our hospital offers the opportunity to practise high-quality emergency medicine without sacrificing balance, wellbeing, or lifestyle.
The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced ECC Veterinarian or a confident GP vet ready to step into emergency medicine to join our supportive and close‐knit team.
You'll manage a diverse small animal emergency caseload, supported by experienced ECC vets and nurses, modern diagnostics, and a collaborative team environment where you're never truly on your own.
What The Role Looks Like
Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
Permanent part‐time or full‐time options (Casual also considered)
No orthopaedic surgery (complex cases referred to AES Carrara)
Access to ultrasound, endoscopy, ventilators, and advanced monitoring
Strong ECC mentorship; GP vets with solid foundations encouraged to apply

Permanent rates $60–$75 per hour or $119,000–$149,000 p.a. (pro‐rata)

About You
Veterinary degree recognised in Australia
Current (or eligible) registration with the NSW Veterinary Board
Min. 2 years ECC experience
Calm, team‐focused approach in high‐pressure environments
Passion for delivering empathetic, high‐quality care — even after hours
