We are seeking a Cloud Operations Manager to provide senior technical leadership and operational ownership of our enterprise cloud and hybrid platforms, supporting Tier 0 systems that underpin clinical, aged care and research services across Australia.
This is a handson leadership role combining deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure with people leadership, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Cloud, you will:
Own the daytoday operations of SVHA's enterprise cloud and hybrid platforms
Lead and mentor a team of cloud, infrastructure and systems engineers
Act as the technical escalation point for complex incidents and platform outages
Ensure platforms are secure, resilient, observable and compliant (ISO*****, Essential Eight, SOCI)
Drive automation, monitoring uplift, patching and lifecycle management
Partner closely with cybersecurity, networks, applications and clinical stakeholders
Lead vendor engagements and support disaster recovery, backup and resilience planning




Contribute to cloud strategy, migration initiatives and digital health transformation programs
You'll play a critical role in ensuring technology platforms supporting patient care are robust, reliable and futureready.
About you
You are a senior cloud practitioner and people leader with experience operating missioncritical environments.
You bring:
8-10 years' experience in cloud or infrastructure operations
Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments
Proven experience supporting Tier 0 / 24×7 systems in regulated or highavailability environments
Solid skills in automation and scripting (Terraform, PowerShell, Bicep, Python)
Solid understanding of security, identity, backup and disaster recovery
Excellent stakeholder, incident management and vendor management capability
Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, Security Engineer)
Experience in healthcare, aged care or other regulated environments is highly regarded.
