Casual Hospitality Trainer & Assessor (NSW)
Location:Sydney & Parramatta, NSW (with travel throughout Sydney and Regional NSW)
Short Courses Australia is a leading Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering fee-for-service hospitality training throughout New South Wales.
We are seeking an experienced and engagingCasual Hospitality Trainer & Assessorto join our growing NSW training team.
This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality skilled who enjoys sharing their knowledge and developing the next generation of hospitality workers.
Training is delivered at our Sydney and Parramatta training centres, secondary schools, client workplaces and selected regional NSW locations.
Courses Delivered
The successful applicant may be required to deliver:
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Food Safety Handler
NSW Food Safety Supervisor
Barista Coffee
Licensee Training (LT)
Advanced Licensee Training (ALT)
Other hospitality short courses as required
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging face-to-face hospitality training and assessment.
Assess students in accordance with nationally recognised training package requirements.
Provide mentoring, coaching and practical industry advice to students.
Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
Ensure compliance with ASQA, Short Courses Australia and regulatory requirements.
Maintain current industry knowledge and trainer currency.
Represent Short Courses Australia professionally at all training locations.
Travel throughout Sydney and Regional NSW when required.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
Extensive & current hospitality industry experience (venue management experience highly regarded).
Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****, TAE***** or equivalent),
or be willing to obtain if only delivering Barista Coffee training.
Current vocational competency and demonstrated industry currency in hospitality.
CurrentLiquor & Gaming NSW Approved Trainer Accreditationfor Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Current approval to deliverLicensee Training (LT)andAdvanced Licensee Training (ALT)with Liquor & Gaming NSW.
Current NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor accreditation (desirable).
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Current unrestricted driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
Willingness to travel throughout Sydney and Regional NSW.
