About the Role
Are you an experienced Physiotherapist looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a genuine work-life balance?
We are seeking a passionate Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne Physiotherapy Department on a part‐time, fixed‐term basis.
Working across the Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit at our Fitzroy campus and the Older Adult Mental Health Unit at our Kew campus, you will provide high‐quality physiotherapy care to people experiencing mental illness while supporting their physical health and wellbeing.

You will play an important role in delivering evidence‐based physiotherapy services while contributing to the ongoing development of physiotherapy within Mental Health.
Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Classification:Physiotherapist Grade 2 VB1 – VB4 ($90,235 to $103,724 per annum, pro rata for part time).
Duties
Deliver evidence‐based physiotherapy assessment and management for adults with mental illness, including management of common physical health comorbidities such as musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.
Provide high‐quality physiotherapy services to the Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit at Fitzroy and the Older Adult Mental Health Unit at Kew.
Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to Physiotherapy staff working within Mental Health services.
Promote integrated physical and mental healthcare in line with theEqually Wellconsensus statement andEqually Well in Victoria.
Embed trauma‐informed principles into physiotherapy practice within Mental Health settings.
Contribute to the development and growth of Physiotherapy services within Mental Health.
Communicate assessment findings, treatment plans and outcomes effectively through clinical documentation and multidisciplinary handovers.
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and Allied Health staff to deliver person‐centred care.
Provide clinical education and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate Physiotherapy students as required.
Your Contribution
Current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.
Recent clinical experience and demonstrated knowledge of physiotherapy practice within an acute healthcare setting.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of and commitment to evidence‐based practice, continuous quality improvement and research.
Experience supervising students and mentoring junior staff.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
