About the Role
We are seeking anEmployer Engagement Consultantto support people with disability from refugee backgrounds to achieve meaningful employment.
TheEmployer Engagement Consultantis a frontline role within the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program, supporting people with disabilities from refugee backgrounds to achieve sustainable employment.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and a multidisciplinary team, the Advocate delivers personalised employment support, manages a caseload, and helps participants prepare for, secure, and maintain work.
The role involves building strong relationships with employers, identifying employment opportunities through labour market engagement, job carving, and reverse marketing, while implementing the SSI Service Delivery Model to provide holistic, participant-centred support.
With a strong focus on achieving program outcomes and KPIs, the Advocate collaborates with colleagues and employer partners to create inclusive employment pathways and improve workforce participation for refugees with disabilities.
We're Looking for People Who:
The successful candidate will have a strong customer-focused approach, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and demonstrated experience achieving KPIs while maintaining compliance.
They will possess sound knowledge of the labour market, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload in a culturally sensitive and inclusive manner.
A willingness to complete aCertificate IV in Employment Servicesis required.
Arabic speaking is essentialfor this role to effectively support the target client group.
Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, refugees, people with disability or mental illness, or within community advocacy, social services, disability support, or refugee settlement programs will be highly regarded.
