St Joseph's OSHC North Ipswich is seeking a confident and experienced Assistant Coordinator who brings initiative, sound judgement, and a strong understanding of quality practice—someone ready to contribute meaningfully, take ownership, and help shape a growing service.
As a well-established service licensed for 105 children, we are entering an exciting phase of growth and development, and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey!
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Coordinator in leading the
day-to-day operations
of a dynamic OSHC service
Designing and delivering
engaging, play-based programs
that reflect children's interests
Providing guidance and support to educators to strengthen
confidence and consistency
Assisting with rostering, administration, and compliance processes
Stepping in as
Responsible Person
, confidently leading when required
Creating a
safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
for every child
Building solid, positive relationships with families and the school community
Job Requirements
AnACECQA-approved school-age qualification, including studies in education, community services, health, therapy, sports, or creative arts.
Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis




Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
Experience in the education and care of children.
Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
Effective workplace communication and leadership skills
