Senior Finance Business Partner NSW Government
We're partnering with a high-profile NSW Government organisation seeking an experiencedSenior Finance Business Partnerto join a high-performing finance team during one of the busiest and most commercially significant periods of the financial year.This is not your typical BAU finance role.
You'll be at the centre of strategic financial planning, partnering with senior leaders while supporting End of Financial Year reporting, FY27 Budget preparation and month-end reporting in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

The Opportunity
Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, you'll provide commercial and financial insights that support key business decisions while ensuring critical reporting deadlines are met.
You'll be responsible for:
Leading financial business partnering across multiple business units
Delivering high-quality month-end reporting and financial analysis
Supporting End of Financial Year reporting requirements
Contributing to the FY27 Budget process
Preparing financial models, reports and executive-level insights
Building and improving reporting templates and dashboards using advanced Excel
Partnering with operational stakeholders to provide commercial advice and challenge assumptions
Supporting audit requirements and project deliverables throughout the contract
About You
You're an experienced Finance Business Partner who enjoys operating in complex organisations and can quickly establish credibility with senior stakeholders.




You'll bring:
Significant experience in Finance Business Partnering within a large or complex organisation
Strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting expertise
Advanced Excel skills including modelling, data analysis and report development
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
The ability to manage multiple competing priorities without compromising quality
CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification
Experience within NSW Government or the broader public sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.
