About The Role
Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care.
The Senior Community Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing advanced evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and coordinating consumers' recovery plans.
The senior role is also responsible for complex clinical decision making, supervision and consultancy to colleagues, Community Managed Organisations, GPs and our community.
The role will include clinical lead in orientation, induction and mentorship of current clinical staff.
The role will lead quality improvement activities, clinical supervision and participation in clinical leadership.

Ideal Candidate
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy or Social work, or post graduate qualification in Psychology (with Area or Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology) and extensive specialist experience including a minimum 3 years experience in mental health.
Full AHPRA registration (OT) or eligibility for membership to AASW.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of and skills in recovery oriented services and consumer involvement in service design, implementation and evaluation.
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, time management and computing skills,
and current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
