Salary - RN-M3 - Registered Nurse-Midwife LV 3, $130,190 to $136,010 + 12% Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
Full Time, Temporary (fixed term) contract up until 02 July ****

About the role
The Nurse Unit Manager provides clinical leadership, coordination and management of patient-client care delivery within a designated unit or service area.




The role is responsible for leading nursing-midwifery and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care, effective team performance and positive patient-client outcomes.
The position is accountable for clinical practice standards, policy compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key duties of the role
Provides clinical and operational leadership to ensure secure, high-quality patient-client care through effective workforce, resource and service management.
Ensures effective service governance through quality improvement, risk management, policy implementation, resource management, and workforce coordination to support safe and efficient service delivery.
Hold a contemporary professional practice portfolio containing evidence of postgraduate qualifications, learning and practice experience that underpin a demonstrable application of knowledge and skills commensurate with the level and type of practice expected of the role.
Contribute specific expertise to monitor and evaluate research activities in order to improve nursing or midwifery practice and service delivery.
Provides leadership and direction, acts as a role model, mentor, consultant and resource person.




Skills and Experience
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practising certificate.
Demonstrated competence in relevant nursing practice area and professional standards.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Experience in clinical management, staff supervision and multidisciplinary team environments.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, industrial agreements and healthcare quality frameworks.
