Locum Opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist within Children's Services in Croydon UK, earning up to £27 per hour on an hourly basis. This part-time position is for a duration of 4 months. What you will do:
Manage a caseload of children with a wide range of developmental difficulties and disabilities
Complete occupational therapy assessments, treatment plans, and reviews
Undertake EHCNA assessments
Work across health, education, and social care settings
Provide advice and support to children, families, carers, and education staff
Assess and recommend specialist equipment and adaptations
Complete moving and handling risk assessments
Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
Participate in multidisciplinary and multi-agency working
Supervise students and contribute to service development

Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
HCPC registration
Evidence of continuing professional development
Post-graduate OT experience in a relevant setting
Community children's occupational therapy experience
Experience managing a caseload of children with varied functional difficulties
Experience completing EHCNA assessments
Experience working with Autism, ADHD, and Cerebral Palsy
Experience of using CO-OP and coaching approaches
Understanding of children's safeguarding and clinical governance
Experience of multidisciplinary working
Good communication and report writing skills
Computer literacy
Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Manual car driver or own vehicle for work purposes
Sensory Integration training
Neuro-developmental training
Fieldwork Educator training
Attendance of paediatric courses post qualification
Post-graduate children's OT experience
Experience of specialist equipment and housing needs assessments
Splinting skills
Experience supervising students
Car owner
