Campbells Wines is seeking an experienced and passionate
Cellar Door Manager
to lead our visitor experience at our iconic Rutherglen winery. This is an exciting opportunity to join a proud family‐owned business and play a key role in showcasing our wines, our story, and the warm hospitality we are known for.
As the face of our Cellar Door, you will deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive wine sales and Cellar Club growth, and lead a high‐performing team. You will also coordinate onsite events that celebrate the Campbells Wines brand and create memorable moments for our members and visitors.
About the Role
The Cellar Door Manager oversees the daily operation of the Cellar Door and plays a central role in shaping the visitor journey. You will lead a dedicated team, manage retail and tasting experiences, and ensure the Cellar Door operates smoothly, safely, and in line with Campbells Wines' standards.
You will also plan and deliver winery events, member functions, and private bookings, working closely with the Managing Director and broader team to support business objectives and brand engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
— Deliver warm, memorable and skilled visitor experiences that reflect the Campbells Wines brand.
Sales Leadership
— Drive wine sales, premium tastings, merchandise sales and Cellar Club membership growth.
Team Management
— Recruit, train,



roster and mentor Cellar Door staff to build a positive, high‐performing culture.
Event Coordination
— Plan and deliver winery events, member functions and private bookings, managing logistics, suppliers and customer enquiries.
Operations & Compliance
— Maintain stock control, venue presentation, RSA compliance, food safety and WHS standards.
Administration
— Manage booking systems, customer records, reporting and departmental objectives. Assist in the setting of department objectives and budgets.
Marketing Support
— Collaborate with management to promote Cellar Door experiences and events.
What You will Bring
Strong leadership skills and experience managing a customer‐facing team
A passion for wine, hospitality and delivering exceptional visitor experiences
Proven ability to drive sales and build customer loyalty
Experience in event coordination or premium tourism environments
Excellent communication, organisation and problem‐solving skills
RSA certification and commitment to safety and compliance
