About the role
Provide high-quality pharmacy services across outpatient, ambulatory, inpatient and day-only care settings, including clinical support, dispensing and medication supply activities in line with skilled standards and departmental policies
Support the safe and efficient delivery of Pharmacy Dispensary operations, including medication distribution, workflow coordination, task prioritisation and continuous improvement of dispensary processes
Manage Schedule 8 and Schedule 4D medicines, including distribution, stock control, documentation and investigation of discrepancies to support safe medication management
Provide leadership, clinical supervision, education and professional support to early career pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students and pharmacy support staff, while acting as a role model within the team




Deliver timely and accurate drug information and education to pharmacy, medical and nursing staff, patients and relevant stakeholders, while contributing to medication safety, quality use of medicines and incident management initiatives
Contribute to the ongoing development of Pharmacy services through procedural reviews, education programs, practice-based research, innovation and patient-centred service improvement aligned with organisational goals
About you
Current Pharmacy Registration with AHPRA with no scope on conditions of practice, able to meet the criteria set out in the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award for a Grade 2 Pharmacist, and ability to provide weekend and on-call out of hours service as per roster
Experience and a demonstrated high level of performance, competence, expertise, skill and application of clinical judgment in the provision of pharmacy services
Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with other health professionals, patients and carers; showing commitment to building and maintaining effective working relationships
Demonstrated knowledge of Drug and Therapeutics Committee processes including Formulary management and experience in the implementation of formulary decisions, policies and procedures, and quality use of medicines
Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, excellent organisational and time management skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks
Proven problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills commensurate with Grade 2 classification,



necessary to achieve desired outcomes in a busy changeable environment
