Base salary $131,108 (Pro Rated) + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity
The University of Sydney is seeking a Project Manager (Targeted) to lead the planning, delivery and governance of complex projects that support the University's strategic objectives.
This role provides an opportunity to manage end-to-end project delivery, establish robust governance frameworks, lead project teams, and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders across the University.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
lead overall project organisation, including defining roles, responsibilities and performance expectations for project staff
develop and communicate project charters to ensure shared understanding of project objectives and deliverables
establish and embed project management methodologies, processes and templates across project activities
develop workforce plans and allocate resources to support successful project implementation
design project operating models, governance structures and delivery processes
develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, objectives and deliverables
manage project activities, risks, budgets and outcomes to ensure delivery within agreed timeframes
provide leadership, coaching and performance management to project team members
oversee project financial management, including budget allocation and expenditure monitoring
develop governance and reporting frameworks, identify project risks and maintain data integrity standards

About you
postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience extensive experience managing complex projects from initiation through to completion demonstrated experience managing project budgets and financial accountability proven ability to engage and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders experience leading and developing staff, including performance management and coaching robust skills in project planning, organisation, communication and stakeholder engagement demonstrated capability to identify and manage project risks, opportunities and issues highly developed critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools commitment to working collaboratively, inclusively and with cultural awareness
