PM Operations Supervisor
to join our Emerald team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating freight operations, supervising drivers, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight while delivering exceptional customer service.

Monday to Thursday:
8:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Friday:
6:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll oversee the afternoon and night operations, ensuring freight is dispatched safely, customer commitments are achieved, and drivers and fleet are utilised efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily transport operations to maximise the efficient use of drivers, vehicles and equipment.
Plan and allocate freight loads to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
Organise fleet resources to meet customer requirements and operational demands.
Ensure all vehicles comply with customer, operational and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Supervise, coach and support drivers while promoting a strong safety culture.
Monitor driver compliance with relevant State and Federal transport legislation.
Prepare manifests, loading documentation and compliance paperwork.
Investigate operational incidents and complete incident reporting as required.
Prepare and analyse contractor run sheets and delivery performance.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance for company vehicles and equipment.
Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.




Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Produce operational reports and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
What You'll Bring
Previous experience in a transport, logistics or operations supervisory role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop operational teams.
Excellent planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of transport operations, fleet scheduling and freight movements.
Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and relevant transport legislation is highly regarded.
Strong geographical knowledge to effectively allocate work and optimise fleet utilisation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
A transport or logistics background is highly desirable but not essential.
