About this opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, customer-centric, experienced team player to join our team on this full-time permanent in office role in our North Sydney Office.
Your key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lodging of import and export declarations.
Handling of SCA (Sea cargo automation) enquiries from support team
Issuing debit notes for custom clearance services
Deliver exceptional customer service by advising customers on trade and compliance matters and addressing and resolving issues such as escalations and disputes effectively and professionally.
Stay informed on the latest updates to customs and trade laws, including changes to tariffs, classifications, and compliance regulations.
Maximise pre-clearance opportunity with established service
Collaborate closely with government agencies,
regulatory bodies and internal teams for efficient and timely clearance
Processing and lodgement of shipments to ensure accuracy in timely manner and deadlines are met
Lodging Import Declarations, SAC Declarations, EDN's and PRA's through Expedient
Manage filing of LOA (Letter of Authority), LOI (Letter of Indemnity). all documents and e-mails to relevant files and Expedient
Take the lead in getting OOCL "Trusted Trader" certified.

Minimum 3 years of local experience as a licensed customs broker
ICS experience is essential.
Must have knowledge of customs tariffs, import, export, and taxation regulations.
Excellent customer liaison skills along with a passionate hands-on approach.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Must have full working rights in Australia.
