At Diabetes Australia, we're looking for an Event Coordinator to help us deliver events that connect, inform, and inspire. From community activations to national campaigns, you'll be part of a collaborative team that's passionate about improving the lives of the 1.5 million Australians living with diabetes.
You may have seen this opportunity advertised recently and be wondering why it's back. The positive news is that following some positive changes to our team structure, we've created an additional Event Coordinator position. As our events program continues to grow, we're expanding the team to ensure we can continue delivering high-quality experiences for our communities, partners, and stakeholders.
This is a
full-time permanent role
based in
Brisbane
, with some travel across Queensland and interstate. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, suppliers, venues, and stakeholders to make sure every detail is covered and most importantly, that every event feels meaningful.
What you'll bring
At least 2 years of experience running events end-to-end
A knack for logistics, planning, and keeping things on track
Confidence dealing with suppliers, venues, and internal teams
A calm, solutions-focused approach when things get busy
A genuine interest in creating inclusive, accessible experiences

Whether you're coordinating logistics, liaising with suppliers, or helping develop promotional materials,

What you'll be responsible for
Planning and coordinating national events, activations, webinars, virtual events, and digital engagements, ensuring seamless delivery and an engaging participant experience
Managing logistics, timelines, budgets, and compliance
Communicating with venues, speakers, suppliers, and internal teams
Keeping event records up to date in our CRM and platforms
Supporting marketing efforts with collateral and promotional assets
Helping ensure every event is inclusive, accessible, and aligned with our values
