The role
This is a genuine hybrid Site Supervisor position, we require the right people to cover South Brisbane, to Gold Coast and from Brisbane to the sunshine coast.
One week you're running a crew and subcontractors on a tier-one infrastructure site — ITPs, hold points,
MRTS conformance, daily diaries, prestarts, and straight talking with the head contractor. The next you're standing over a gabion wall or a run of acoustic fence making sure the setout, the levels and the finish are right.
We're looking for someone who can hold both. If you're strong in one half and hungry to build the other, we still want to hear from you — just tell us which half.
What you'll be doing
Running the site
Day-to-day control of labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
Delivering to program and budget, and flagging variations and delays early and in writing
Prestarts, toolbox talks and daily diaries
Dealing directly with head contractors, superintendents, clients and consultants
Civil and compliance
Working to civil drawings, MRTS specifications and ITPs — hold points, surveys, setout
WHS: SWMS, permits, traffic management, exclusion zones, plant compliance
Owning quality — conformance records, photos, as-builts and defect close-out
Structural landscaping
Retaining walls — timber, concrete, masonry, gabion, composite
Fencing (timber, metal, composite, acoustic), pergolas, decking, raised beds
Concreting, paving, natural and synthetic turf, drainage, irrigation, tree and garden establishment
Setting the standard for setout,
levels and finish — and holding the crew to it
Your crew
Developing your people. Structural landscaping means mastering five or more trades, and bringing people along is part of the job
Managing performance, timesheets and labour hours accurately and fairly
What you'll need
Essential
Proven supervisory experience in civil, construction or commercial landscaping
Sound working knowledge of OH&S;/WHS on a construction site
Able to read and work from civil drawings and specifications
Valid Australian driver's licence, White Card, and full rights to work in Australia
Robust written communication — the diaries and notices you write matter
Highly regarded
Trade qualification in Landscape Construction, Carpentry, Bricklaying/Block laying or similar
Experience on civil infrastructure or tier-one projects
Hands-on across timber, brick, concrete and stone
Tickets: HR licence, Excavator, Skid steer
The person
Personal pride in the work and a commitment to getting it right the first time
Comfortable being challenged and learning new materials, processes and techniques
Collaborative — our crews are close-knit and we back each other in
What's in it for you
A pivotal role on landmark Gold Coast infrastructure work alongside high-end structural landscaping
Real variety — no two days the same, across the full landscape spectrum
Competitive remuneration, vehicle and phone
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential support
Upskilling and training — we actively want to broaden your skill set, and progress your career
