Medical Secretaries
to join the specialist practice of a highly respected Orthopaedic Surgeon, working together in a job-share arrangement.
Renowned for delivering exceptional patient care, this established specialist practice provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of foot and ankle conditions, from common injuries and sports-related conditions through to advanced reconstructive procedures. Supported by a highly experienced and dedicated clinical team, the practice is committed to providing personalised, compassionate care throughout every stage of the patient's treatment journey.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
(including but not limited to):
Preparing for and coordinating specialist patient clinics to ensure they run efficiently.
Managing all incoming telephone enquiries and providing a professional, compassionate first point of contact for patients.
Coordinating appointments and maintaining the busy diary of a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Processing consultation billing accurately and efficiently.
Maintaining patient records, correspondence, appointments and accounts using Clinic to Cloud practice management software.
Working closely with the Practice Manager/Registered Nurse to prepare patient theatre quotations, coordinate theatre bookings and process theatre billing.
Managing medical administration, specialist correspondence and daily practice operations to support the smooth running of the clinic.
Liaising with patients, hospitals, referrers and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained at all times and administrative processes comply with practice policies and relevant healthcare standards.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Medical Secretary within a private specialist or surgical practice.
Previous experience using Clinic to Cloud software, or similar practice management systems such as Genie, Gentu or Xestro, will be highly regarded.
Sound knowledge of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and Private Health Fund billing and administrative processes.
A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional patient care with a warm, compassionate and professional approach.
The ability to build strong relationships with patients, specialists, referrers and colleagues while contributing positively within a small, collaborative team.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise competing tasks in a busy environment.
Highly developed administrative skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Fast, accurate data entry skills and confidence working across multiple systems.
Immaculate personal presentation and a professional manner at all times.
A positive, adaptable and reliable work ethic, with the ability to work independently while supporting the wider team.
Remuneration:
An hourly rate of
$38–$45 plus superannuation
will be offered to a suitably experienced candidate. This is a flexible part-time job-share opportunity, with the practice open to discussing a combination of days and hours to create a suitable working arrangement.
