About the Role
Due to continued growth, Contract Resources is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Business Partner to join our team in Jandakot, WA.
Reporting to the West Coast Senior Health & Safety Business Partner, this permanent full-time position plays a key role in partnering with operational leaders and site teams to drive a positive safety culture, provide practical HSE guidance, and support the safe delivery of operations across multiple client sites and project locations.
Working a 38-hour week, the role combines office-based responsibilities with regular travel to client facilities throughout Western Australia, including on site support for major shutdowns and maintenance projects as required.
The successful candidate will provide leadership,



coaching and support to ensure compliance with Contract Resources' HSE Management System, legislative requirements and client-specific safety expectations, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Duties will include but not limited to
Partner with operational leaders to promote and maintain a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture across the business.
Provide professional HSE advice and support to managers, supervisors and employees across multiple operational sites.
Ensure Corporate and Client HSE requirements are implemented, maintained and continuously improved.
Identify, assess and communicate HSE risks, escalating significant safety concerns where required.
Coordinate and support the development, review and implementation of risk assessments, safe work practices and control measures.
Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews across client facilities and project sites.
Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed.
Monitor and report on HSE performance, safety initiatives, trends and key performance indicators.
Facilitate site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training activities as required.
Support shutdown and project activities through site-based HSE leadership and engagement.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and contractors.




Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of HSE systems, procedures and programs.
Requirements & Experience Needed
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within industrial, resources, mining, energy or related sectors
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential)
Sound knowledge and practical application of Australian WHS legislation and industry standards
Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
Strong communication, coaching and relationship-building skills
Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing competing priorities
Experience conducting workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations
Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting capabilities
Well-developed computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
Construction White Card (essential)
Willingness to travel to client facilities and support shutdown activities as requiredFull Australian working rights
