Demand for our Electronic Security services continues to grow rapidly, particularly across Government, Education, Healthcare and critical infrastructure projects throughout regional NSW and Victoria. As a result, we are expanding our team to support this growth and deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electronic Security Technician to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role responsible for the installation, commissioning,



maintenance and servicing of electronic security systems including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Intercoms, Gate Automation and Security Monitoring solutions.
While this role has a strong security focus, Broadtec believes in developing multi-skilled technicians. Successful applicants will have the chance to gain experience and training across communications, networking and healthcare technologies including Nurse Call Systems, Cloud Communications, Emergency Warning Systems and IP Networking.
For the right candidate, there is a genuine pathway into Technical Lead, Project Management or Operations Management roles as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission and service Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection systems
Install and maintain automated vehicle and pedestrian gate systems
Configure and troubleshoot intercom, visitor management and integrated security platforms
Perform fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance activities
Assist with Nurse Call, Communications and Networking projects as required
Liaise with customers, builders, project managers and suppliers
Complete commissioning documentation and compliance records
Travel throughout regional NSW and Victoria as required (accommodation and allowances provided)
Assist with quoting, project delivery and scheduling opportunities as experience develops
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience within the Electronic Security industry
Experience installing and servicing commercial security systems




Ability to work independently and manage projects from commencement through to completion
Sound understanding of IP networking and structured cabling principles
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A willingness to learn new technologies and become a multi-skilled technician
