AE Advisors is a leading boutique advisory firm with offices in Sydney and Adelaide, providing expert M&A;, capital raising, and strategic advisory services. We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our high-performing team.
This is a senior-level role that bridges leadership and execution — you will own deal processes end-to-end, cultivate C-Suite client relationships, and play a meaningful role in shaping the next generation of our advisory talent.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Deal Execution -
Drive the end-to-end M&A; process — preparing key deal documents, managing due diligence, and keeping client expectations on track.
Client Relations -
Develop and manage relationships with C-Suite and Treasury executives to capture and grow new business opportunities.
Financial Modelling -
Build and interpret financial models to support deal structuring and valuation across a range of transaction types.
Deal Management -
Manage full workstreams within transactions, coordinating delivery and keeping team members aligned throughout.
Due Diligence -
Lead and participate in due diligence activities, including designing required diligence streams.
Mentorship -
Guide and support analysts and associates, contributing to a culture of high performance and continuous development.
Capital Raising -




Assist with capital raising mandates including preparing information memorandums and investor presentations.
Business Development -
Drive new business origination and contribute to the firm's strategic growth objectives.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in investment banking, accounting, legal, or a related commercial discipline
A relevant bachelor's degree (required); MBA or advanced degree preferred
Demonstrated track record in deal execution and client relationship management
Skills & Knowledge
Deep understanding of financial markets, investment banking products, and deal structuring
Solid analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build lasting client relationships
Proficiency with AI and LLM tools for research and analysis
