What you'll be doing
Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures across residential, commercial and industrial properties
Diagnosing plumbing faults and determining practical, effective solutions
Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and job requirements
Testing plumbing systems to ensure they meet health, safety and building requirements
Cutting,



bending and assembling pipes and fittings using hand and power tools
Soldering, welding and threading pipes where required
Liaising with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice
Working closely with an apprentice and providing clear, patient and practical instruction
Demonstrating safe work practices, correct techniques and quality workmanship
Supervising apprentice tasks and checking completed work
Helping the apprentice build confidence, independence and sound problem-solving skills
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work setting
Keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used
Complying with all relevant health, safety and environmental requirements
What we're looking for
Current plumbing registration or licence recognised in Victoria
Proven experience working as a qualified plumber in residential, commercial or industrial settings
Strong knowledge of plumbing regulations, codes and best practices
Confidence using plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose plumbing issues
Sound knowledge of water supply, drainage and gas fitting, where applicable
Strong communication and customer service skills




The patience and confidence to guide, teach and support an apprentice
A positive attitude towards sharing knowledge and helping others develop
Reliability, punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines
A current driver's licence
Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying conditions
A current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
A White Card
A qualified, tidy and respectful approach to every job
