ROLE – Fire Service Engineer
SALARY - $110,000 - $140,000 per annum, dependent on experience
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – Sydney, NSW
My client is a provider of fire protection solutions, delivering design, installation, servicing and maintenance across a range of commercial, industrial and residential projects. They are looking for a Fire Service Engineer to join their team in the Sydney area on a permanent basis.
The Fire Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Experience within the Fire Protection industry, with strong knowledge of fire detection, suppression and protection systems
At least 3 years of experience in a similar Service Engineer, Fire Technician, Commissioning Engineer or Maintenance Engineer position
Relevant technical qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection, Electronics or a related discipline
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across a range of fire systems
Experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, gaseous suppression systems or emergency warning systems
Knowledge of Australian Standards and fire industry regulations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and system documentation




Solid problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Able to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team
Full's driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required
The Fire Service Engineer role will involve:
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on a range of fire protection systems
Diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs to ensure systems remain compliant and operational
Commissioning and testing fire detection, alarm and suppression systems
Conducting site inspections and compliance checks
Producing detailed service reports and maintaining accurate records
Providing technical support and recommendations to customers
Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams to coordinate service activities
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and company procedures
Supporting installation and upgrade projects where required
Participating in an on-call roster and responding to emergency breakdowns when necessary
Maintaining high levels of health, safety and quality compliance at all times
