Our client, a privately owned leader in Food Processing, has presented a career‐enhancing opening for Full‐Time Day‐Shift Maintenance Fitter at their Broadmeadows, VIC further processing facility. Due to industry demand, the business is adding to their ****+ employees during this growth phase.
Hourly Rate:
$***** + super
Shift:
5am – 1pm, Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday
Overtime:
Available for those interested – x2.0 on Sundays
Workday:
8‐hour shifts, 38‐hour week
Some weekend work required and overtime available for industry award.
Key Responsibilities
Organise and maintain the day‐to‐day running of the site's production lines, associated plant/equipment and fixed property
Responsible for keeping the equipment performing to its required production rate, exceeding these rates where possible
Responsible for maintaining the preventative maintenance programme in relation to the production line to ensure there are minimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns




Ideal Candidate
Holds a current Mechanical Trade certification – Fitter or Machinist – and has a good understanding of fault finding and repair on production machinery
Previous experience in FMCG environment with an understanding of good manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
Welding experience
Experience with high speed packing machines, conveyors, sensors, packers, etc.
Attitude of continuous learning and communicates positive energy to the team
