Nook Cafe and Bar is seeking a passionate and skilled
Barista
to join our team at our new cafe location in South Yarra , VIC **** . This is a
full time position
offering an exciting opportunity to be part of an emerging hospitality business from the ground up. As a Barista, you will be the face of our cafe, delivering exceptional customer service whilst crafting high-quality coffee that keeps our customers coming back. Your role is crucial in establishing Nook Cafe and bar as a premier destination in the South Yarra community.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, with precision and consistency
Operating and maintaining espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment to the highest standards
Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations during peak and quiet periods
What we're looking for
Proven barista experience,
minimum
1-2 years in a barista role
Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods and
coffee art
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other cafe equipment
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility with working hours, including potential weekend and early morning shifts
A genuine

for coffee and creating memorable customer experiences
