We are currently seeking a talented and passionate
Head Chef
to lead our kitchen into an exciting new chapter. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Head Chef—or a highly skilled Senior Sous Chef ready to take the next step in their career.
About the role:
Manage day-to-day operations of the kitchen and lead a small team
Planning of menus, estimating food & labour cost, ordering, closely monitoring and controlling COGS.
Recruit all kitchen staff
Roster team members while interpreting and acting upon financial information.
Develop external relationships with appropriate suppliers.
Analyse competitors & market trends while providing constant & consistent development of the menu.
Have extraordinary culinary flair and a motivating leadership style to support your team.
Ensure high quality and presentation of food provided to guests, according to property standards and timeframes of service
Maintain a safe clean and organised work environment with emphasis on high food safety standards
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in a Head or Senior Sous Chef role
Someone with a confident, up-to-date,



and creative cooking style with a strong emphasis on quality and presentation
A strong understanding of food cost and control
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent trade qualification - Essential
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Experience in month-end stock take
A flexible approach in adapting to guest requests.
Great communication skills and ability to develop and motivate a team.
Proven experience managing kitchen teams of 5+ staff members in a fast-paced environment
Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Flexibility to work some split shifts or weekends as required.
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa
