Business Support Officer (Traineeship Chance)
CDC Canberra is looking for an enthusiastic and organised
Business Support Officer

traineeship opportunity
, which includes formal qualifications and practical, hands-on experience.
You will report directly to the Team Leader, Operations and be an integral part of the team, assisting with the day-to-day administrative and operational activities to ensure the business running efficiently. This is a great opportunity to commence your career in the transport industry whilst utilising your existing customer service and administration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Reporting
Support the business in ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Update and maintain internal systems for accurate reporting and documentation.
Assist with incident management, escalating issues to management as needed.
Monitor employee hours and review documentation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Assisting with WHS activities, including inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
Operational Support
Assist with the administration of the School Student Transport Scheme, ensuring all systems are up-to-date.
Perform general office duties, including answering phone calls and responding to in-person inquiries.
Data entry, document management, and assist with internal/external reporting.
Provide assistance with payroll-related enquiries, escalating as needed




Assisting with HR activities including licencing and onboarding.
To be successful in this role you with have:
Demonstrated experience in administration working in a busy office environment, experience in transport, logistics, or a similar industry would be viewed favourably.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and exposure to using other internal systems.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders.
