Lead a high-performing kitchen in a fast-paced fine dining venue on the Noosa River
Responsibilities
Leading from the front in a hands-on role, ensuring consistent quality, plating and presentation
Designing and delivering menus, specials and recipes aligned with Gusto's French/Italian philosophy and local-produce focus
Managing rostering, staffing and service execution in line with bookings and forecasts
Controlling food and wage costs through ordering, prep planning, stock control and scheduling
Recruiting and coaching kitchen staff to build a positive, high-performing culture
Overseeing BOH operations, supplier relationships, food safety compliance, and kitchen policies/procedures




Supporting financial planning and functions/events development, including packages and guest issue resolution
Requirements
Minimum 4 years' experience as a Head Chef (or equivalent senior leadership)
Solid capability in French and Italian techniques, with a focus on fresh seafood
Proven experience managing costs, rosters, team performance and BOH operations
Confident communicator and leader who can train, motivate and build a strong culture
Sound understanding of food safety legislation and compliance standards
