About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Officer to support the delivery of high-profile workforce research projects across Government and Correctional Services sectors, for three months.
Working within the Workforce Strategy and Insights team, you will lead and contribute to workforce research, stakeholder engagement activities, workshop facilitation and project coordination. This role will play a key part in developing workforce intelligence reports that inform future workforce planning and policy decisions across Australia.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support the development of Workforce Insights Reports for Government and Corrections sectors.
Undertake applied research, literature reviews and benchmarking activities.
Analyse workforce, labour market and industry data to produce meaningful insights.
Prepare reports, briefing papers, presentations and stakeholder communications.
Coordinate project plans, milestones, documentation and reporting requirements.
Facilitate workshops, consultations and stakeholder engagement sessions both online and in person.
Build strong relationships with government agencies, unions, peak bodies, advisory groups and industry representatives.
Monitor project risks, issues and progress to support successful delivery outcomes.
Assist with internal governance and project reporting processes.




Support a range of workforce strategy and research projects as required.
Experience/About You:
Previous experience in research, policy, workforce planning, project coordination or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data and present findings clearly.
Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience facilitating workshops, consultations or stakeholder meetings.
Highly organised with solid attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong project coordination and administration capability.
Experience working within government, public sector, workforce development, skills, justice or correctional environments will be highly regarded.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Public Policy, Project Management, Research or a related discipline.
