Protech is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team in Blacktown. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring staff satisfaction by delivering safety, quality, and efficiency in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues across a
range of vehicles
Preventive Services: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake checks, tyre
rotations, and other preventative services, to ensure vehicles operate smoothly and safely.
Diagnostic Testing: Utilize diagnostic tools to assess vehicle systems, identify issues, and provide
solutions to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Communication: Engage with team to understand their concerns, provide explicit
explanations regarding vehicle issues, and offer recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
Parts Management: Source and install necessary replacement parts, ensuring they meet quality
standards. Maintain accurate records of parts inventory.
Documentation: Complete service reports detailing the work performed, parts used, and
recommendations for future maintenance. Ensure all documentation is accurate and accessible
for reference.
Workshop Maintenance: Contribute to maintaining a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all
tools and equipment are stored properly and in good working condition.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff to manage the workflow, handle emergencies, and provide support as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum AQF Certificate III in automotive mechanics.
- 2- 3 years of experience in automotive repair, with proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing
various vehicle systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team
and documenting work.
- Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues and devise effective repair strategies.
