Senior Lecturer in Hospitality Management
to provide academic leadership, deliver high-quality teaching, and drive cutting-edge curriculum development. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the student experience, strengthen industry connections, and contribute to the continued growth of our Higher Education programs.
This is a part-time (0.4 EFT), on-going opportunity. Attractive remuneration dependent on qualifications & experience, plus 12% superannuation.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Academic Course Manager, the Senior Lecturer will lead teaching excellence and academic quality within the Hospitality Management discipline. You will play a key role in shaping curriculum, mentoring academic staff, and ensuring a high-quality, student-centred learning experience aligned with industry needs.
This role is primarily based at the City Campus,



with flexibility required to work across multiple campuses or delivery modes.
What You'll Do:
Provide academic leadership and oversight of teaching delivery, quality, and continuous improvement
Lead curriculum design, review, and enhancement aligned with industry expectations and regulatory standards
Develop innovative, research-informed teaching practices and mentor colleagues in pedagogy
Design and manage robust assessment practices, including moderation and validation activities
Drive scholarly teaching initiatives and contribute to applied research and continuous learning improvements
Build and maintain strong industry and community partnerships, integrating real-world insights into curriculum
Lead quality assurance processes and contribute to academic governance and strategic initiatives
Support and enhance the student experience through engaging, inclusive, and accessible learning
About You:
You are an engaging and forward-thinking academic leader with a strong background in hospitality management and higher education. You bring a passion for teaching excellence, the ability to lead and inspire teams, and a commitment to delivering outstanding student outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
AQF Level 9 qualification (Master's) in a relevant discipline; PhD highly regarded
Significant teaching and/or industry experience in hospitality or a related field
Demonstrated experience in higher education teaching, curriculum design, and assessment practices
Strong understanding of contemporary pedagogy, including blended and online learning
Proven leadership experience in curriculum development, academic governance, or scholarly activity
Ability to build and maintain effective industry and community partnerships
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and lead academic teams
Alignment with a child-safe, inclusive and values-based workplace
Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
