We're looking for a
skilled and passionate Cook
to join our kitchen team! The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy kitchen environment and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all
food safety standards
and
occupational health & safety
regulations.
Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
Report directly to the Head Chef
and communicate effectively with waitstaff before service.
Prepare, season, and cook
dishes according to recipes, using personal judgment and experience when required.
Test and taste food to ensure quality and readiness before service.
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment.
Portion, arrange, and garnish dishes for attractive presentation.
Prepare and cook meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other menu items for both hot and cold service.
Bake, roast, slow-cook, deep-fry, and grill
foods as required.
Prepare and present desserts.
Wash, peel, cut,



and prepare fruits and vegetables for service.
Regulate and monitor cooking equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, and sous-vide machines.
Estimate food requirements, requisition supplies, and check deliveries for accuracy and quality.
Demonstrate ability to
learn and execute new menus
as set by the Head Chef and Owners.
Collaborate effectively with a
team of chefs and cooks
in a rapid-paced kitchen environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a
busy kitchen
serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Passion for cooking and continuous learning.
