We're currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable
Chef
to bring their dynamic culinary skills to this rewarding position. In this role you will joining our dynamic Food Services team on a
permanent part time basis (25 hours per week)
, you'll be playing a key role in the preparation and cooking of nutritious and high-quality meals for our patients at St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba.
Your key responsibilities would include:
Preparation, cooking and presentation of meals at a consistently high standard
Ensuring compliance with HACCP standards and the hospitals food safety program
Monitoring food process including handling, safe storage and stock rotation
Assisting with menu production and daily kitchen operations
Working closely and collaboratively with the broader Food Services team

Things that work for us:
Qualified Chef with relevant trade qualifications (Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery)




Ability to work on a permanent part-time basis - with flexibility to work either AM or PM shifts (these times ranging from 5.30am - 7.30pm)
Demonstrated experience in safe food handling for at least 2 years
Ability to work with minimal supervision with outstanding communication and decision-making skills
Ability to cater to a wide range variety of sensitive dietary requirements
Must understand allergy management practices
Ability to work in a diverse workplace
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with docket system within room service model
