About the Role

Responsibilities
Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
Set up machines and collections equipment
Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
Monitor donors post‐donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
Qualifications




Occasionally lift between ****** kg
Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
Completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration
Versatile to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
Ability to work on the Donor Mobile Unit as required (travel and overnight stays required)
