About the role
Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO is a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO, ELT, Risk & Audit Committee and Board. This is a broad, hands-on mandate spanning financial strategy, governance and risk, finance operations and a genuine commercial growth agenda, this isn't a role limited to reporting and compliance.
Key areas of accountability
Partner with the CEO and ELT on business growth strategy and long-term financial forecasting (3+ years), acting as a trusted advisor to the Board and Risk & Audit Committee
Lead the Finance & Assurance team, owning the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting,



investment framework and internal controls
Ensure audit and funding acquittal readiness, and maintain compliance across taxation, corporations law, fundraising and relevant legislation
Lead financial strategy and commercial modelling to grow fee-for-service, partnerships and diversified income, building enterprise-wide commercial acumen and reporting frameworks to support it
Governance and financial advice to the CEO, ELT and Board
What you'll bring
CA/CPA qualified, with senior finance leadership experience and strong commercial acumen
Track record in income diversification, pricing strategy and current revenue assessment
Experience translating financial insight into practical tools for non-finance leaders
Not-for-profit, charitable or consulting sector experience highly regarded; an interest in environmental management is a bonus
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at Executive and Board level
