Role Description
This is a part time, on-site Dentist role based at Alira Smiles Dental in Berwick, VIC. The Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, preventive treatments, restorative procedures, and cosmetic dentistry services. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing treatment plans, performing procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and whitening, and educating patients on oral hygiene and long-term care. The role involves collaborating with dental assistants and reception staff, maintaining accurate patient records, and adhering to clinical and infection control standards. The Dentist will contribute to a welcoming environment, ensuring patients of all ages feel informed,



comfortable, and supported throughout their treatment.
Qualifications
Relevant dental qualifications, including a recognized dental degree and current registration with the appropriate dental board in Australia.
Demonstrated experience in general dentistry, including preventive care, restorative treatments, and cosmetic procedures suitable for a family practice.
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to develop clear, evidence-based treatment plans.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients of diverse backgrounds and ages.
Commitment to high standards of infection control, patient safety, and adherence to regulatory and ethical guidelines.
Ability to work collaboratively within a small practice team, while managing time and patient schedules efficiently.
Comfort with using dental practice management software and digital records for charting and treatment documentation.
Willingness to participate in continuing career development and stay updated on advances in dental techniques and materials.
Experience in a private practice or family dental setting is an advantage.
