Maintenance Manager - Northern Region (Earthmoving Equipment)

We're looking for a
Maintenance Manager - Northern Region
to own and coordinate our Northern Region workshop and in-field maintenance operations. This role sits right at the heart of the action, working with technicians, subcontractors, parts, and customers to keep equipment moving and downtime to a minimum.
This is a great chance for someone who understands how things work mechanically but has leadership and coordination skills and knowledge. The role can be located in either our Albury or Wagga Wagga branch.
What You'll Be Doing
Promoting a culture of safety first throughout the operations
Lead and mentor a team of mechanics and sub-contractors to ensure work is completed to industry standards and to company quality expectations.
Proactively address incoming maintenance request for breakdowns, routine maintenance and general repairs.
Schedule job cards to technicians and sub contractors based on skillsets and priorities.
Monitor parts and oil stocks and ensure availability aligns to maintenance activity timing.
Monitor and contain the machine under repair % to the agreed targets.
Receipt purchase order numbers and ensure job cards and purchase orders are closed out in a timely manner.
Proactively monitor and action customer damage charges on a daily basis to ensure a timely close out occurs with a high degree of data accuracy.
Ensure maintenance department resourcing levels are adequate and aligned to the output targets.




Authorise maintenance team member timesheets and monitor team member work times to ensure alignment to employee wellbeing guidelines.
Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and ensure they operate within the terms of our operating procedures.
Submit recommendations for tooling and equipment to keep the maintenance offering relevant.
Hold team meetings in alignment with company requirements, including pre-start and toolbox meetings ensuring action points are documented and followed up.
Ensure compliance to the company Delegated Financial Authority is achieved.
Maintain a culture of teamwork and cross team collaboration
What We Are Looking For
3+ years' experience as a Workshop / Field Service Manager or similar
A demonstrated history of delivering outcomes in line with agreed targets.
Ability to communicate and interact with a broad range of stakeholders, including sales, hire control, yard teams, customers, and spare parts departments.
Ability to manage, develop and empower team members while instilling a sense of purpose and ensuring employee wellbeing.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Experience with workshop budgets and maintenance KPI's.
Ability to establish, maintain and enhance positive internal and external relationships.
