About the Role
Recruitment Edge is seeking reliable and hardworking
Cleansing Crew Team Members
to join the Open Space team within a Local Government Council in the Cumberland LGA.
As a Team Member – Cleansing Crew, you will contribute to Council's commitment to delivering clean, safe and well-maintained public spaces across the Local Government Area. Working as part of a responsive maintenance team, you will help ensure Council's streets, town centres and public spaces are maintained to a high standard that meets community expectations while delivering services in accordance with industry best practice.
This is a full-time casual opportunity with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of reactive maintenance duties, including:
Town centre cleansing and presentation.
Litter and rubbish collection.
Street and laneway cleaning.
Maintenance of traffic facilities, including garden beds and median islands.
Verge maintenance.
General gardening and landscape maintenance tasks.
Responding to reactive maintenance requests.




Undertaking other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Manager to ensure Council priorities and community expectations are met.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in general labouring, cleansing, parks and gardens, or outdoor maintenance.
White Card.
Appropriate PPE.
A strong work ethic with the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to workplace health and safety.
Experience operating gardening equipment and small plant.
