The Opportunity
An enterprise pharmaceutical and retail group are seeking a
Senior Business Analyst
with deep domain expertise in
Pharma
along with
Merger & Acquisitions
to lead critical delivery across a major post-acquisition integration and footprint expansion.
Following the acquisition of a specialised medicinal business with existing dispensaries, the enterprise is executing its strategic roadmap—opening a brand-new retail store alongside a dedicated Distribution Centre.
Reporting into the Project Manager within Corporate Functions and working closely with an Infrastructure Project Manager as well as HR and operational teams, you will leverage your specialised pharmacy sector expertise to manage end-to-end delivery: from requirement elicitation and pharmacy process mapping through to testing, BAU handover, and hypercare.
Key Deliverables
Pharmacy Process & Workflow Mapping:
Map current vs. future state operational, clinical, and retail workflows across current store openings and supply chain operations.
Core Systems Requirements Elicitation:

Drive end-to-end requirement gathering for retail pharmacy point-of-sale (POS), dispensing, inventory management, and distribution centre integration.
Testing & Execution:
Structure test plans, build pharmacy-specific test scenarios, and execute end-to-end functional and operational testing.
M&A; & HR Integration:
Support post-merger integration activities, ensuring personnel, operational compliance, and organisational workflows align seamlessly with parent-company standards.
Hypercare & Transition:
Lead operational readiness, post-go-live hypercare, and smooth transition to BAU for pharmacy retail and logistics teams.
Selection Criteria
Pharmacy Sector Expertise:
Extensive, hands-on BA experience within retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical distribution, or highly regulated healthcare services is essential. You must understand the operational, compliance, and systems nuances of modern pharmacy environments.
M&A; / Integration Experience:
Prior experience in post-acquisition integrations, retail store rollouts, or distribution centre implementations.
15+ Years BA Background:
Senior, seasoned candidate with a proven history of navigating complex enterprise ecosystems.
High Adaptability:
Demonstrated flexibility and pragmatism in fast-paced, evolving integration environments.
Availability:
Ideal candidate will be available to commence within 4 weeks.
Location:
You must be Melbourne based and able to travel to Preston to work onsite at least 4 days per week.
