About the Role
As a
Collections Officer
, you'll play an important role in helping customers resolve outstanding accounts while delivering exceptional customer service with empathy, professionalism and integrity.
Every conversation is different, and you'll work with customers to understand their circumstances, negotiate suitable repayment arrangements and achieve positive outcomes for everyone involved.
You'll receive comprehensive training, ongoing coaching and support from experienced leaders to help you build a successful career in financial services.




Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Making outbound and receiving inbound customer calls.
Investigating accounts to locate and establish contact with customers.
Building rapport and positive customer relationships.
Negotiating repayment arrangements tailored to individual circumstances.
Identifying practical solutions for customers experiencing financial difficulty.
Managing account information accurately across multiple systems.
Working collaboratively with your team to achieve individual and business goals.
Delivering outstanding customer experiences while meeting compliance requirements.

About You
You don't need previous collections experience as we're looking for great communicators with the right attitude but if having experience will give you an edge. Many of our leaders started in this very role.
You'll be someone who:
Enjoys talking with people and building relationships.
Has experience in customer service, call centres, retail, hospitality, tourism, sales or similar customer-focused roles.
Communicates confidently both verbally and in writing.
Is resilient and comfortable having challenging conversations.
Enjoys solving problems and helping people find practical solutions.
Has strong negotiation skills or is eager to develop them.
Thrives in a target-driven environment.
Is comfortable using computer systems and learning recent technology.
Has a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
