About the role
The Health Services Operational Manager is an executive leadership opportunity to drive organisational performance and contribute to the strategic direction of Bathurst Health Service.
The successful candidate will ensure services are safe, effective, productive and patient- centred while supporting the delivery of contemporary models of care and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
In addition to leading organisational operational planning and preparedness for major incidents, infrastructure failures and emergency events, the Health Services Operational Manager will also monitor and improve operational performance against agreed service, activity, financial and workforce targets.
Reporting to the General Manager,



this role balances whole-of-hospital operational demand with finite resources and aligns the multidisciplinary workforce across operational domains where staff have varied professional lines, competing priorities and differing service delivery models.
As part of the role, you will provide executive leadership and governance for the Health Service's after-hours operational coordination function, supporting the after-hours Campus Nurse Managers to coordinate responses to operational, infrastructure, workforce and clinical issues outside normal business hours.

Bathurst Health Service is a Level C referral facility with 100 beds.
Bathurst Hospital Services include allied health, ambulatory care, coronary care, emergency medicine, intensive care (level 4), general medicine, maternity (level 4), mental health drug & alcohol, obstetrics & gynaecology, oncology, paediatrics, pathology, radiology, rehabilitation and surgery services.
