What we're looking for:
Cert III in Communications (essential)
Mine site experience and strong understanding of operational environments
HRWL / EWP
Open Cable Licence
ELV qualification or equivalent
QLD CBM & Standard 11 (preferred)
Experience with P25, Tetra, DMR
RF/EME awareness
Strong capability in maintaining and troubleshooting fleet management systems, radio networks, and fibre optics
Sharp analytical skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
What you'll be doing:
Work across multiple Bowen Basin sites on critical safety and communications projects
Install, configure, and maintain fleet management, communication, and smart safety systems, including Collision Avoidance Systems
Work with leading technologies: CAT Terrain, Modular Mining, Cisco, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Motorola, Tait, DMR, TETRA 2-way systems
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced camera, radar, and sensor technologies
Perform accurate fibre splicing and network testing to ensure reliable, high-quality connections
Diagnose technical issues with a safety-first approach
Collaborate with the team to implement innovative technology solutions
Conduct routine maintenance and system checks to maximise system performance
Deliver professional technical support to onsite teams and stakeholders
