Ravenswood Gold is seeking a motivated Laboratory Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our onsite laboratory.
Reporting to the Onsite Chemist, you will supervise a team of Laboratory Technicians, ensuring analytical and metallurgical testing is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while supporting the reliable operation of our processing plant.
About the role
Supervise the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, ensuring testing is completed safely, accurately, and within required timeframes.
Lead, mentor, and support Laboratory Technicians while promoting a positive safety culture.
Coordinate sample receipt, preparation, analysis, reporting, and workflow using LIMS.
Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, laboratory procedures, and site safety and environmental requirements.
Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
Allocate daily workloads to meet operational priorities and support Processing, Metallurgy, Geology, and Exploration teams with accurate analytical results.
Monitor laboratory consumables, maintain laboratory documentation, and prepare routine reports.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance laboratory safety, efficiency, and performance while participating in routine laboratory activities as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a mining, mineral processing, or laboratory workplace (preferred).
A strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
A willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to the success of the Processing team.
