Job description
We're Hiring – Rostering Coordinator (Permanent Part-Time)
Location: Cleveland, QLD
Hours: 20 hours per week
Roster:
Monday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Tuesday to Friday: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
There is an opportunity to increase your overall working hours by undertaking support worker shifts with Applied Abilities outside of your rostered office hours, should you wish to do so.
This is entirely optional and based on your availability.
Applied Abilities is a growing Registered NDIS Provider, and we're looking for an organised, customer-focused Rostering Coordinator to join our Head Office team.
This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same.
You'll play a key role in keeping our support services running smoothly by coordinating rosters, responding to staff and participant enquiries, and ensuring our participants receive the right support at the right time.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and maintaining participant support rosters using ShiftCare.
Managing roster changes and last-minute staffing requests.
Finding creative solutions to ensure every shift is covered while meeting participant needs.
Delivering exceptional customer service to participants, families and staff.
Coordinating group activity bookings and rosters.
Responding to phone and email enquiries.
Providing administrative support to assist with company compliance, including maintaining accurate records, supporting documentation requirements, and ensuring key administrative tasks are completed in line with organisational and NDIS Practice Standards.

Working collaboratively with our leadership team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our services.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Exceptional customer service skills – this is our number one priority.
Previous rostering experience within the NDIS, disability, aged care or community services sector.
Experience using ShiftCare (highly regarded).
Strong knowledge of the SCHADS Award, including an understanding of classifications, allowances, penalty rates and rostering requirements.
Experience supporting NDIS compliance, including maintaining accurate documentation and an understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
The ability to prioritise competing tasks, problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and a professional phone manner.
A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and the ability to think on your feet.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning current software systems.
High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
Why Join Applied Abilities?
At Applied Abilities, we're passionate about supporting people with disability to live meaningful, connected lives.
We value teamwork, initiative and people who genuinely care.
You'll join a supportive Head Office team where your contribution directly impacts our participants, families and staff every day.
If you're an organised problem-solver with outstanding customer service skills and you're ready to join a growing organisation that genuinely makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
