Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal - Commercial Officer (12 month contract)Mackay & Sarina Region | $*****/hr | Monday to FridayAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Commercial Officer to support the day-to-day financial operations at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal.
Working within the Business Services team, this role is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and contractor receipting activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.
This is a 12-month contract working Monday to Friday.
The role requires strong time management skills, particularly during month-end periods, and the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions
Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices
Raise invoices and manage customer collections
Process contractor timesheets and receipt of service transactions
Assist with month-end activities, including reconciliations
Investigate and resolve invoice and receipting discrepancies
Maintain accurate financial records and supplier information
Process employee expense claims and corporate credit card transactions
Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries
What You'll Bring
Experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable functions (highly regarded)




Understanding of basic accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Well-developed organisational and planning skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with integrated financial systems (desirable)
Certificate III in Office Administration (desirable) or similar relevant experience
Requirements
Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
Construction Industry White Card (CPCCOHS****A)
Hold a C Class Driver's Licence (desirable)
