The Opportunity
We have an exciting temporary opportunity to join the EPA as a Legal Practice Manager.
In this role you will lead the office management services and administration function to facilitate the achievement of strategic and operational goals and objectives.
About you
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
Extensive senior level office management experience, leading and mentoring administration teams to deliver efficient high quality services
Strong financial and budget management skills, including monitoring expenditure allocating funding and managing the payment and recovery of legal costs
Excellent writing and drafting capability producing high level reports, submissions, briefings and ministerial and parliamentary correspondence in line with government protocol
Sound strategic planning and project management experience, contributing to corporate and operational plans, monitoring performance and delivering projects within scope budget and timeframes
Strong systems and process improvement skills, developing information management systems, tools and procedure that drive efficiency and support accurate, timely reporting
A forward looking,
curious mindset staying across best practice office management particularly for large in house legal teams and identifying, emerging issues, trends and risks
About the Branch
Litigation and Legislation and Legal Advice
The Legal branch sits within the Legal, Governance and People division.
The Legal Branch plays a key role in holding polluters to account in court cases, delivering the legislative program, maintain the integrity and governance of the organisation and delivering people functions that support a strong culture and a skilled and safe workforce.
