Chef wanted – Asian cooking experience required
Yin and Yum is a small Asian fusion restaurant located at the University of Canberra.
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Chef to manage our kitchen with the support of an experienced part-time chef.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and present consistently high-quality Asian cuisine
Manage the daily operations of a small kitchen
Use traditional and contemporary wok flavours and cooking techniques
Manage food ordering, stock control and wastage
Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen
Manage allergens and special dietary requirements safely
Maintain a clean kitchen and ensure compliance with ACT Health regulations, food safety standards and workplace health and safety requirements
Selection criteria
Minimum five years' experience in Asian cooking
Reliable, organised and able to take responsibility
Comfortable working in a small venue
Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
