We are seeking an experienced and highly accurate Payroll Officer to manage the end-to-end delivery of payroll across Woodlands.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee records, system administration and the controls that support reliable pay outcomes.
Working closely with Finance, Human Resources, managers and employees, you will administer payroll through MYOB Acumatica and Workforce Management and help ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.

Your attention to detail, systems capability and practical payroll knowledge will directly support our employees and strengthen payroll governance.
You will have the opportunity to:

• Administer payroll-related functionality and employee data across MYOB Acumatica and Workforce Management
• Apply strong quality controls, reconciliations and exception reporting to prevent payroll errors

• Investigate payroll issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable process improvements
• Work collaboratively with Finance, Human Resources and operational managers across Woodlands
About the role
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate, compliant and timely delivery of payroll services.
You will manage each payroll from approved time and attendance data through to reconciliation, reporting, payment and post-pay review, while maintaining clear records, approvals and audit trails.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Processing and reconciling ordinary hours, overtime, penalties, allowances, deductions, leave, bonuses, salary changes, back pay and other approved payments
• Monitoring approved time and attendance information from Workforce Management and resolving exceptions before payroll is finalised

• Maintaining employee payroll records, pay rates, classifications, bank and tax details, superannuation choices, deductions, leave balances and cost centres
• Interpreting and applying modern awards, employment arrangements, the National Employment Standards, company policies and approved remuneration conditions
• Completing pre-pay quality assurance, variance analysis, headcount checks, bank file validation and general ledger balancing
• Identifying and correcting overpayments, underpayments, duplicate payments, missed allowances and incorrect deductions
• Maintaining preventative controls that reduce payroll errors and minimise the need for one-off or additional pay runs
• Preparing and lodging Single Touch Payroll reporting, including finalisations and amendments
• Calculating, reconciling and coordinating payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG withholding and other statutory payments
• Processing commencements, payroll changes and terminations, including accurate final pay calculations
• Supporting month-end, year-end, payroll accruals, leave liability reporting, audit schedules and payroll-related reconciliations
• Responding to employee and manager payroll enquiries clearly, professionally and confidentially
• Supporting payroll system testing, upgrades, configuration changes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Uniform management
About you
You are a dependable payroll professional who combines strong technical knowledge with disciplined checking and a genuine service focus.
You remain composed under fixed deadlines, communicate payroll matters clearly and take accountability for resolving issues promptly.
You will bring:
• At least three years of demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience, ideally in a high-volume, award-based or multi-site environment
• Practical experience with MYOB Acumatica and Workforce Management, or comparable payroll, ERP and workforce management systems

• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll obligations, including modern awards, PAYG withholding, payroll tax, superannuation and Single Touch Payroll
• Strong payroll reconciliation, exception reporting, statutory reporting and audit experience
• Advanced attention to detail and the ability to analyse and reconcile large volumes of payroll data
• Strong Microsoft Excel and general systems capability
• Transparent communication, sound judgement and a confidential, professional approach
• The ability to manage competing priorities, payroll deadlines and statutory due dates
A qualification in payroll, accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Why join Woodlands?

We offer:
• A key role with genuine ownership of the payroll function
• A stable position within a long-established, family-owned business
• The opportunity to improve systems, controls and payroll processes
• A collaborative working relationship with Finance, Human Resources and operational leaders
• A supportive and down-to-earth work environment
• A workplace based in Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast
