Department: Specimen Collection
Location: Hobart and surrounding areas
About The Role:
Permanent part time roles available - hours per week negotiable, can include weekends
Shifts are rostered between 7am and 11pm
Collection of pathology specimens from patients in our collection rooms, hospitals and as part of domiciliary services
Store and process pathology specimens
Patient reception and response to client enquiries
Record patient information
Attend to the well-being of patients
Liaise with patients and referring doctors
Use of laboratory application software
Extensive training will be provided to the successful candidates
*Please note that this is not a courier position
Selection Criteria:
Ability to commit to full time training program (4-8) weeks depending upon previous experience)
Must be available to work shifts commencing at either 7am or 8am




Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence
Exceptional skills in applying attention to detail
Proven ability to act independently within established guidelines, whilst demonstrating initiative and sound judgement
A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
