You will support families from early pregnancy until 4?
6 weeks post birth, working collaboratively to provide trauma-informed, respectful, and culturally safe care.This is a small, supportive team of midwives committed to delivering high-quality care to vulnerable families.
You will work closely with a range of services including obstetrics, drug and alcohol services, social work, mental health teams, and other allied health professionals.
The team culture is collaborative, flexible, and focused on providing compassionate, safe, and client-centred care.About the RoleAs a member of the Family Care Midwifery Team, you will provide continuity of care for vulnerable families, including both antenatal and postnatal care.
Your day-to-day activities may include:Providing care to women and newborns in hospital and community settingsAttending case conferences and multidisciplinary meetingsMaking appropriate referrals to enhance client careCollaborating with allied health, social work, and mental health teamsManaging the diverse and unpredictable needs of families within a continuity of care modelYou will be supported by a team of experienced midwives and will have access to monthly clinical supervision and ongoing education opportunities to develop your skills.
